Hello!

In time for the holidays, our class and the Grade 3/4 class joined up to do a close reading of "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" by Dr. Seuss. Today we learned that close reading is reading the text numerous times so that we can get a deeper understanding of the passage. Here are some things that we summarized from our first read (We will read two more times to dig deeper and make connections and inferences).
- The Grinch character changes from the beginning to the end
- Christmas is not just about materials but rather the spirit
- The Grinch hated Christmas and near the end has changed his mind about Christmas.
